Looking not to seek the wrath of music artists once again, Guitar Hero 6 will not allow you to play as a rock mega star in it's main career mode. Instead, the next installment of the music-game series from Activision, has this time decided to play it safe by leaving the famous rockers as side characters.

Appropriately called "Quest Mode," the likes of Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich and KISS front man Gene Simmons will help you along your "quest" to become the next big thing. Simmon's himself will be providing narration for the game mode, while players try to "recruit" other rock stars, such as Ulrich, thus unlocking their "song sets" to further progress in the game. No date for Guitar Hero 6 has been set, but good authority on the subject expects the game to be coming out later in the year.
