| Spore to Move beyond Computer Screens? |

Spore is easily one of this year's, or even this generation's, biggest game releases. It has been touted for its originality, raved about by critics, and even had a controversy or two. But as it is coming closer to release, has EA seen the potential to extend its giant new property beyond the bounds of the computer screen?According to an interview with Will Wright, the mind behind Spore, we may be seeing Spore on TV, and possibly the big-screen. "With Spore, we're looking way outside the game space, such as TV, movies, etc. We're basically planting the seeds to spread Spore out to a much wider group of people than would ever play a computer game" –Will Wright. Sounds like EA. If a certain market doesn't like what you are selling, evolve that property to fit what they want to hook them, and reel them in. No official statement has been made on a Spore-based film or television show just yet, but based on EA's new marketing strategies, we wouldn't be surprised if we see something nearer to Spore's release date of September 7th.
